The outsole is made from ultra-durable RUBLAST rubber. By studying how tennis players move on the court, we were able to create an optimal sole shape to obtain extreme durability.
The upper is reinforced around the toes and instep for greater durability while sliding and moving around the court.
The shank, made from the revolutionary polymer Pebax® has been combined with a specific shape at the forefoot for better propulsion and lightness. The Pebax Powered® programme showcases the high performance of Pebax® material for athletes in the sports market. Pebax® and Pebax Powered® are registered trademarks of Arkema. After several years of R&D by Artengo and the Decathlon SportsLab, the patented Lateral Cushioning System (Lateral CS) guarantees durable, sustained lower impacts from the ground for tennis players. Biomechanical studies carried out on tennis players' movements revealed that "High Impact Resistance" foam, when placed strategically in the sole, could reduce the force of impact by 13% (compared to the 2019 TS990 model).
