These trousers have been designed with 3 different components:- a robust fabric (198 g/m2) on the areas that need protection from abrasion (seat, bottom of the leg at the front). This fabric is also stretchy, enabling great freedom of movement;- a light and breathable fabric (145 g/m2) on the rest of the trousers;- a very stretchy insert in the crotch area (15% elastane).
What accessories are available for the men’s mt500 2-in-1 trousers?
The MT500 2-in-1 trekking trousers are equipped with:- 2 zipped hand pockets;- 2 zipped thigh pockets (and 1 mesh pocket inside the right pocket);- 1 zipped back pocket.The trousers are elasticated at the bottom, so you can adjust them to fit perfectly over your shoes.The trousers are sold with a belt.
How water repellent is the component in the reinforcement zones of the mt500 2-in-1 trousers?
These trousers have water-repellent inserts (front of ankle, buttocks) that let the water slide off the fabric's surface. Please note, this does not mean WATERPROOF.The water repellency prevents the trousers from getting wet too quickly. However, this won’t be enough to keep you dry if you’re in steady rain. To do this, you will need a pair of over-trousers like the MT500 model (ref. 8736465).Water repellency can be reactivated using a reactivating water repellent spray (ref. 8800346).

We recommend that you always wash your 2-in-1 trousers with the lower legs zipped up. This will ensure that normal product discolouration is uniform!

Was sourcing some convertible trousers for a Kilimanjaro trek. Tried these on in store and was instantly sold. Really comfortable with stretch fabric in grojn and knee down. Lower leg zips off without removing footwear. Plenty pockets including two that act as vents for easy temp and moisture regulation. Great value at this price point. Very happy
Pantalon utilisé pour randonnée pendant 8 jours en montagne. Mal adapté à la morphologie féminine la taille est trop basse et il y a trop d’épaisseurs au niveau de la ceinture (qui du coup frotte avec la ceinture du sac à dos cela m’a carrément irrité avec la sueur) le tissus est trop épais, rigide et peu confortable. Le point positif : les poches très pratiques et le système pour défaire les jambes du pantalon. Pas très élégant (bon ok c’est pas le but) et pas vraiment agréable à porter j’ai été assez déçue par ce pantalon.
