Compatibility with clipless cleats
For the best fit, use the following models: -BTWIN SPD DUAL 500 -BTWIN SPD CLIPLESS 100 -BTWIN SPD CLIPLESS 520 -SHIMANO SPD DUAL M324 -SHIMANO SPD CLIPLESS M520 -SHIMANO SPD CLIPLESS XT-M780 Compatibility with ENDURO / FREERIDE clipless platform pedals is not guaranteed (e.g. B\'Twin SPD Clipless 540, Shimano SPD Clipless Enduro XT-M8020, Shimano SPD Clipless M424). For these pedals, you will need to try them first.
Reinforced front area
The front part of the foot is reinforced to protect against unexpected impacts or stones.
A hybrid sole
Sometimes the terrain will force you to push or carry your mountain bike. We\'ve therefore come up with a hybrid sole inspired by trail running (for grip on the ground) and mountain biking (for grip on the pedals) to keep you comfortable and supported whether walking or cycling. Its heel stiffener and flex grooves keep you comfortable when walking. And its multidirectional lugs drain water and mud whether going uphill or downhill, walking or cycling.
Clipless cleats
When you start mountain biking, clipless pedals aren\'t necessarily your priority. This is why these shoes grip the pedals well, even without cleats. And if you want to take the plunge, the sole has a rigid section for fixing cleats without having to adjust everything! Easily attach your SPD cleats thanks to the 2 holes and a reference guide engraved into the surface of the sole.
Comfortable and durable.
In addition to giving you traction when walking and pedalling, the ST 500 will also let you ride worry-free: the durable shell limits impacts and abrasion. The elasticated sockliner all along the opening makes it easy to slip them on and prevents dust and pebbles getting in. To prevent unintended snags, you can tuck the quick-lacing system into the tongue!

Nice comfortable shoes but they have one drawback which means I don't use them very much. With the design of this particular shoe's sole there's no way of adjusting the position of the cleat front to back, you can only adjust slight from side to side. This means that for me the cleat is positioned too far back (I prefer to have the cleat under the ball of my foot) and I don't feel like I'm pedaling as efficiently as I could. If they alter the design so you could adjust the position of the cleat further forward then they would be perfect. They're nice and light and comfortable and not too cumbersome off the bike either.
Tried to find good cycle touring shoes for many years without success. Found these to be very comfortable and easy to walk in. They would be perfect if a little more stylish.
I’ve never had cycling shoes before but these are great. Really help with putting down more power on the bike and easy to walk around in normally because of their design. Also got the cleats from decathlon and was really easy to setup. The laces tuck up nicely in the tongue for neatness. Yes really pleased with them.
