It could be amazing, but it doesn't come with the bits to fix it on the bike, and they don't sell spare bits at the store. If you are a DIY person, you can probably install it, but if you are not, it will be useless. The lastest one was my case, so I returned it straight away.
This is an excellent product in theory, and at the start of my rides it works well by ensuring other road users provide a reasonable gap when overtaking. The main problem with the product is that the hinge is not stiff enough to resist air flow. Therefore, whilst I ride, the paddle is constantly folded backwards due to air resistance, and at times ends up flat against my bike, rendering it completely useless!!! Future revisions of this product need to be designed so that the flag cannot bend farther back than 90 degrees (i.e. perpendicular to the bike). Unfortunately I am unable to recommend the product as it stands since it is unable to stay folded out and therefore maintain a safe gap between myself and other road users.
As an all year round rider & Commuter I found that in the winter dark early mornings, cars are constantly coming close & not giving me enough space, This has been absolutely the best thing I have put on my bike, it screams "Novice Rider be Aware " to them, hence they give me a wide berth & they are so frightened of not hitting it as a target that they make sure they wait if they cant over take safely. ITS BRILLIANT.In fact it should be compulsory to have it on the bike.
