Product Reviews

it’s OK for starting basic
I bought a size small. Would be better if the velcro would stretch a little longer for a tighter feel but it is not a problem and they fit well. I tested them before by (carefully!) falling to my knees and they gave me added confidence to learn to skate. They stuff fairly easily. I have not had a full crash.
These have taken some punishment and are wearing well. I like the fact there's no fiddly buckle like with some other pads. I have fallen loads, no broken bones yet. They do cushion the blows well, and the plastic is tough. I foolishly tried to pull them on over ice skates once, and I laddered the elastic but it didn't cut or unravel and is still fine. Only downsides I would say are that sometimes the elbow pad will slip up your arm a bit when you're sliding after you fall, but they have already taken the initial shock, and I think all elbow pads will do that. Some other wrist pads have a big plastic semi circle that sticks out at the base of your palm which these don't, so those ones may take more shock from your wrist, but hey. They're good.
