How to choose the material of your swim cap
Fabric Composition: Made from a fabric similar to a swimsuit, it is easy to put on without pulling your hair. It is finished with a seam around the head for a secure fit. Coated fabric: This variation of the mesh cap is also comfortable. It is covered with a layer of silicone which helps stop water getting in and makes it less stretchy for a more secure fit. Silicone: Less comfortable but very stretchy, it provides excellent stability and keeps out the most water.
How waterproof is a swimming cap?
It’s important to remember that no swimming cap is 100% waterproof! Water seeps under the cap, especially around the ears. This cap protects the hair from splashes.
How to put on your swim cap
The silicone cap is very stretchy and resistant to stretching, but it is sensitive to snags. So be careful when putting it on, especially with nails and barrettes. Need a hand? Feels nice but even with short hair I found it difficult to put on.
Was good for 3 swims. Comfortable to wear and not too tight. Unfortunately split very easily when putting on.
