What are the contents of my 2 seconds fresh&black 2-person tent?
Inside the storage bag for your tent, you’ll find everything you need to put it up: - 1 pre-assembled bedroom with 2 x 2 large pockets for storing your belongings; - 1 waterproof flysheet; - 10 tent pegs; - 5 guy ropes; - 1 instruction label for easy opening and closing of the tent. A QR code on the label lets you access some videos.
How does the 2 seconds fresh&black 2-person tent provide extra cool and darkness?
Cooler and darker for a better night’s sleep in your 2-person tent! The patented Fresh & Black technology developed by Decathlon helps the fabric reflect the sun’s rays and keep out the light thanks to its special materials. In this way, the feeling of warmth in your tent is reduced for improved darkness. To get the most out of this technology, don\'t forget to ventilate your tent at night!
How is the ventilation of the 2 seconds fresh& black 2p tent 1/2
For this new 2 Seconds Fresh&Black 2-person model, we have worked on our side and rear vents to make them as easy to open as our 2 Seconds tent. Thanks to this work, we have equipped this model with 2 new patented ventilations (2 side and 1 rear).
What type of mattress is compatible with the 2 seconds fresh&black 2-person tent?
For your comfort, we recommend that you use a self-inflating mattress or maximum 60 cm wide trekking mattress with this tent. We do not recommend using inflatable mattresses more than 6 cm thick in this tent. Indeed, this greatly reduces the volume inside the tent and increases condensation inside.
What is the wind resistance of the 2 seconds fresh&black 2-person tent?
This 2 Seconds tent has been tested in a wind tunnel on a rotating platform to expose each of its sides. A properly pitched tent with all guy ropes fitted remains habitable in wind speeds up to 50 km/h measured near the ground (Force 6).
How do you set up and take down the 2 seconds fresh&black 2-person tent?
As with all the models in this range, the 2 Seconds 2-person tent is quick and easy to pitch. Simply remove the tent from its cover, take off the yellow strap and the tent starts opening straight away, then remove the buckles (2 blue and 2 red). Then all you have to do is put the pegs in properly. This tent is easy to fold up thanks to its guide system.
How is the ventilation of the 2 seconds fresh& black 2p tent 2/2
To open the ventilation on the sides, simply unzip a first fabric panel, then a second mosquito net to access the side ventilation system which opens very easily, thanks to its patented zip system. For rear ventilation, just open the red zip, remove the rear hook, then close the zip to protect the inside of the tent from insects. Then, simply pull on the 2 cords to open the rear ventilation.
How waterproof is the 2 seconds fresh&black 2-person tent?
The 2 Seconds Fresh&Black tent has been tested in the lab and in the field to validate its waterproofing. For this, the whole tent was placed under a shower producing 200 litres of water per hour for 3 hours. This exposure is equivalent to tropical rain of 200 mm per hour. The flysheet is made of 2000mm Schmerber PU-coated polyester, while the groundsheet is made of 120g/m² polyethylene. All the seams are sealed with thermobonded tape.
Warranty of your tent:
This camping tent was designed for occasional outdoor use (4 weeks per year) during your camping trips or in the countryside. Continuous exposure to UV light over a period of several weeks can damage its textile part. Our tents are not classified as “garden furniture” and aren’t designed to be left outdoors permanently. To maximise the lifetime of your tent, it\'s important to store it properly when it is not being used. 5-year warranty.
Can the 2 seconds fresh&black 2-person tent be repaired?
Our tents are great for camping at night. Over time, they age and some parts may wear out or break. To make it easier to repair, each part (poles, flysheet, bedroom etc.) can be purchased from our stores. They can be replaced in our workshops or you can do it yourself. Don\'t throw away, repair !
Product Reviews

Easy pop up tent , but found this new addition of black out pop up tent, which my old one I had for a couple of years was good.
But this new one condensation on outer fabric, soaks write through to inner layer door, and in winds and rain 🌧️ I had to keep wiping it with a cloth, as it was wet with condensation, made the inner mesh wet..
That's with the vents inside open.
Disappointed 😞 in this new version of black out tent . feel the outer fabric is to close to the inner fitted part especially on the front door where it gets wet .. especially in rainy or autumn / winter seasons.
Used this tent on two separate exhibitions, the first being a test trip to Dartmoor, temperature was down to around 15 at night with no wind. On this trip it did the job perfect. Then I took this tent to Scotland to use for the north coast 500… this was a big mistake. You peg the inner down and the outer does not sit flush on the ground, this allows a breeze to get through. In warm conditions this keeps the tent fresh, but at temperatures around 4-8 at night with strong winds and rain it doesn’t keep the breeze out or the warmth in. Ended up getting a flu a week in to the trip and had to come home early. If peg loops were added to the outer as an option this would definitely improve the tent.
The 2 man tent served as the overnight shelter and our day shelter in Wales whilst my daughter and I went looking for jets in the Mach Loop. Quick to set up and quick to pack, the only compromise is if you choose to walk with it it will be cumbersome and weighty but small steps save the day
