Our baby gym product designers created these shoes to support your child's psychomotor skills development.
How do these shoes help babies become more independent?
These shoes feature a rip-tab fastening combined with a wide opening, making them particularly well-suited to the fine motor skills of very young children. This ergonomic design allows them to slip their feet in, fasten and adjust their shoes by themselves, actively encouraging independent motor skills and helping them learn to put on their shoes at nursery or at home.
Why are the lightweight shoes so important for a child’s first steps?
An ultra-lightweight shoe ensures that a baby’s still-unsteady steps as they learn to walk aren’t weighed down. Its thin, flexible sole respects the foot’s natural biomechanics, offering optimal protection against impact and the cold without hindering muscle development.
How does the breathable fabric of this model ensure the child’s thermal comfort?
The upper is made from a micro-ventilated technical fabric that ensures continuous airflow. This excellent breathability naturally wicks away perspiration and moisture, keeping your baby’s feet dry all day long to prevent irritation during play.
Choosing the right shoe size
Very easy to check the size: remove the shoe's insole and put it on the ground; place your child's foot flat on top of it, with their heel level with the back of the insole; if their toes are in the hatched area at the other end of the sole, it's the right size! Remember to regularly check their shoe size. Kids' feet grow fastest between the ages of 1 and 3 years: check our size guide on our website.
Arch support or not?
We are all born with flat feet. As we begin to walk, the arch gradually develops through the natural development of our foot muscles. This is why children's shoes do not need to have an arch support when they are still growing (unless otherwise indicated by a healthcare professional).
