Went to buy some 40lb and 25lb line, as is standard for most UK sea fisherman, but all of these lines are marked out by DIAMETER OF LINE. So the products marked as 25/250 and 40/250 are not 250m spools of 25 and 40 lb line, they refer to the millimetre diameter of the line.. Who on earth goes to a tackle shop and asks for a spool of 250 metre line with a 0.25mm diameter?! They ask for the test weight of the line, either in lbs or kgs, not how wide it is. How would anyone automatically know the test strength of a line by it's diameter? LOOK carefully before you buy, as these products are incredibly poorly labelled.
Very like Racine Tortue but at a fraction of the price !
