Waterproofing

We test our tents to validate their waterproofing. The first test is done in the laboratory, 3 hours under 200 litres of water per hour per sqm, equivalent to 200 mm tropical rain per hour. The second test is done in the field under real-life conditions by our teams. This tent is fitted with a polyurethane-coated polyester flysheet measuring 2,000 mm. It also has seams that have been waterproofed with heat-sealed strips, and a 140 g/sqm polyethylene groundsheet.

Ventilation

The ventilated flysheet on the living area airs the room and reduces condensation inside your tent. High ventilation hatches are also provided at the front and back of the tent, along with high mosquito nets on the door and at the back of the bedroom.

Repair

As designers and practitioners who love our playground, we care about the durability of our products. That\'s why all our tents are designed to be repairable. Spare parts and pole repairs are available at the workshop of your Decathlon store or on our website.

Living room and bedroom

3.5 m² living area and an inner tent height of 1.90 m. This tent is fitted with a basin groundsheet at the entrance which can be folded away in the event of rainy conditions and with 8 pockets in the living room (2 pockets on the outside of each bedroom too). The 2 bedrooms in this tent are intended to accommodate a maximum of two 70 cm wide mattresses.

Pitching and dismantling

There are four poles to insert into their corresponding sleeves. There are colour codes to help you. We recommend that 2 people pitch the tent. Floor surface area with guy ropes:20m2

Poles and tent pegs

Poles - All our poles are made from fibreglass and undergo double quality checks. This guarantees some of the best resistance against breakage. Tent pegs - All our pegs are made of steel and have a diameter of 6 mm.

Sun protection

The flysheet fabric has UPF 30 sun protection. Caution: be careful, as a large amount of UV rays can get in through a simple open door.

Wind resistance

We test all our tents in a wind tunnel on a turntable. The aim is to expose each side of our tent to the same wind intensity. Properly pitched, with the guy ropes deployed, this tent remains habitable in wind speed 6, measured at 50 km/h.

Maintenance advice

Our camping tents have been designed for occasional outdoor use (4 weeks per year) when camping or in the great outdoors. Continued exposure to UV rays over several weeks can damage the fabric. These products are not classified as “garden furniture” and aren’t designed to be left outdoors permanently. To guarantee maximum durability of your tent, it\'s important to store it when not in use.

Great tent but challenging to put up solo. Stand up living room handy. Pockets good for storage.

Great tent for a great price! ...

Great tent for a great price! I bought this as a ‘cheap’ tent to take my three children and dog away for long weekends. It’s easy to put up (and I’ve had several tents over the years so lots to compare with!), didn’t leak and is a good space. The bedrooms fit two double airbeds but are a little snug so more comfortable for one adult if you like a big of space but we managed fine and it was good to have the centre part where you can stand up. Note that you’ll need to buy the porch poles separately. Overall a great tent and would definitely recommend.
